DESTINY RESCUE
We want to extend our gratitude to Imagine Nations Church for your support in helping girls rescued on their Pathways to Freedom.
When we are involved in reintegration, whether it is in the community or residential home setting, a member of our reintegration team will work to develop an individualised Path to Freedom for the child. This plan focuses on decreasing the vulnerabilities that led to her being exploited while providing new opportunities that allow her to flourish in freedom.
Every child is unique and so are her vulnerabilities. This means that every child’s Path to Freedom looks different.
In almost all instances there is extreme financial pressure on their family. When necessary, we provide
a temporary stipend to remove this pressure while
we help her find safe employment, at which time we discontinue the stipend. (typically/maximum 12 months)
Our intention is to build a “Freedom Plan” that is unique to each child. Overcoming her unique vulnerabilities may include provisions and plans for:
1. A Safe Place
2. Urgent Health Needs (pregnancy, disease, medicine, risks)
3. Temporary Economic Assistance (often used for rent, utilities and food).
4. Education and/or Vocational Plan (get identification and help enrol in school, job skills training)
5. Emotional Health Needs (EMPOWER Trauma Rehab, GROW Resilience)
6. Spiritual Growth (connect with local church, devotions)
Our Reintegration Team walks the Path to Freedom with the child for up to 12 months to ensure that she stays free. This ongoing relationship allows us to check in on her progress, identify new concerns or vulnerabilities, and provide encouragement along the way. During this relationship we often earn the right to share the good news of the gospel with them.
