AFRICA - Africa & Beyond

2020, like it has been for everyone else, was a year
like none other. Whilst COVID changed our plans, it
did not stop us. We had planned to launch out into Mozambique where we have recently been given approval to plant churches. However, with the advent of covid, those plans have been put on hold as the Mozambique border remains closed. As restrictions in Zambia have loosened, we have been able with the help of Imaginations Church, to purchase a piece of property for a new church plant set to take place in the very near future. In addition to being able to purchase property in Zambia, Imagine Nations Church has helped us purchase property in Mitundu, Malawi as well as build a solid semi-permanent shelter for our newest church plant there in Malawi; previously they were meeting under a tent on a rented plot of land.

Our main base of operation is in Bujumbura, Burundi.
In May 2018 we returned to Burundi to fill a leadership vacuum. Since then, we have been concentrating on bringing the church and it's outer lying campuses back to a place of health. This meant bringing the churches back to the basics of evangelism, prayer
and leadership formation. We have strategically
been evangelising around the main church campus
in a predominantly Muslim area and have seen over 1,000 people come to Christ since January. Many have become part of the church and we are now working on connecting them to Christ and His church. The main

church campus was in desperate need of new sound equipment; the equipment we were using was over 25 years old. Imagine Nations Church reached out and helped us purchase new equipment which has helped us see new life brought back to the church. In January, we declared it to be the year of “New Beginnings.” Despite COVID, we have seen the church heal and grow, thank you for helping us in this new beginning!

In 2021 we plan to keep pushing ahead with church planting to reach 1,000 churches in Africa in DRC, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique. Our churches also serve as spiritual coverings for our community outreaches. In Burundi, we are preparing
to launch a Hope Center (much like what we have in Malawi) in January/February 2021 on an existing church campus nearby the Burundi/DRC border. The area has suffered greatly during covid closures as well as severe local flooding. We will serve 500 widows/elderly/orphan/ vulnerable children on site.

We don’t have the words to thank Imagine Nations Church for their partnership here in the African continent. Thank you for your generous prayers and support.

Ps Jamie & Leah Peters
