“But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!””
Romans 10:14-15 NLT
HOW CAN THEY BELIEVE IN HIM IF THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD ABOUT HIM?
According to The Joshua Project (joshuaproject.net) there are currently 3.23 Billon people who are unreached by the gospel today... that’s simply too many! As a church our first and highest priority is to follow the last command of Jesus (Matthew 28:19) “Go into all the world and make disciples...”, it’s why we exist!
So, first and foremost in missions we are ensuring that we can tell as many people as possible about the love of Jesus. As individuals we can share the gospel with friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues and more... but what if we could tell people on the other side of the world? That’s what your missions giving is doing.
Whilst you’re reaching out to someone in Melton, your missions giving is reaching someone in Malawi. You might be sharing with a neighbour in Phoenix, your missions giving is sharing with someone in Phnom Penh. We can be preaching in Penrith whilst our missions giving is preaching in Papua. You can be showing Christs love with someone in Belconnen whilst your missions giving is showing Christs love to someone in Bujumbura.
Our dream is that we could share Jesus with everyone, everywhere.
We are doing this by supporting and empowering local church planters and evangelists who go into villages and neighbourhoods where they know the language and culture so that they can reach them with the gospel. We also support radio ministry which beams the gospel into homes often into places where it is dangerous to plant a church yet we are shining a light in the darkness. Our support has helped the Bible to be translated helping people to understand the message of Jesus in their native tongue. We have also supported evangelistic outreaches sharing the love of Jesus with the untold.
Throughout these pages you will read stories of the gospel being shared and churches planted as a result of your generosity.
There’s still a lot of work to do and a lot of people to reach but we press on with a dream that none would perish.
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
II Peter 3:9 NKJV
